S.`R.'U.D.E. is dedicated to two things: 1) We collect set items,
and 2) we ONLY collect the sets using legitimate play and trading.
(I'll give some examples below for any ethically-challenged
gamers who's notions of fair play was learned from the School of Enron or R.I.A.A.
S.`R.'U.D.E. decisions and organizations are administered by Mike
(ski_phreak), Branden (DarthGomorra) & Angie (no bnet account

What does
S.`R.'U.D.E. do?
We mostly play Diablo II (expansion) and trade items. This
website exists only to help trade. Our goal is to legitmately
obtain every item in every set of the latest Diablo LOD patch.
Other Tennets of
S.`R.'U.D.E.
S.`R.'U.D.E. will always
use the latest patch, and in this case, we use the latest beta patch,
1.10s.
Why an unpredictable beta? Partly to applaud Blizzard's
efforts to stomp out hacking (cheating) on battle.net, but mostly
because of all the cool stuff that Blizzard is putting into the new
patch. This includes new rune-words, new Horadric Cube recipies,
and new attributes on just about every special item, rare item, and set
item.
Any new S.`R.'U.D.E. member must be vouched for by someone
already on-board.
S.`R.'U.D.E. has a zero tolerance hacking policy.
S.`R.'U.D.E. takes no stance on hostile (non-cooperative) game
play, but complaints of unsporting player-killing (PK) may terminate
your membership.
What do you mean,
legitimate?
This means no map-hacks, no hexes, and no character editors. If
in doubt, don't accept it unless you personally saw a
monster drop it. No character editors or maphacks are
tolerated. The only purpose for these programs is to give one
player an advantage over all the others in the game--in other words,
cheating. Only gamers who agree to play by the rules are allowed
in S.`R.'U.D.E. If some sort of save-game or item export/import
tool is developed for the new 1.10 patch we may consider using it for
help in maintaining S.`R.'U.D.E. inventories. So far,
however, all programs of this type allow editing of character and
item attributes. Any such program is against S.`R.'U.D.E. policies.
How can I help?
Play Diablo II (LOD) with beta patch 1.10s installed.
Find as many set items (green coloured) as you can.
If possible, trade these items to a character with the same name
as the set. (i.e. an Amazon named 'Arctic' for the Arctic stuff.)
Compress ONLY the files from that character (X:\Program
Files\Diablo II\save\CharName.*) using your favourite compression tool
into a zip, rar, ace, or tgz file. Please don't send every
character you've created, and please name the zip file with the same
name as the set. (Isenhart, Arcane, Berzerk, Arctic, etc,)
If you are a S.`R.'U.D.E. then ftp the file and update the pages
linking it.
S.`R.'U.D.E. dudes will be provided with the passwords of all set
zipfiles hosted here.
If you are not S.`R.'U.D.E., you may email the file to us, but no
promises that we will make use of it or agree to help you. If you
are polite and we believe you to be legitimate, we may email one or
two items that you request.
Anyone is free to download the zipfiles, but they are password
protected and will not unzip without the password.
Can I join?
Without a S.`R.'U.D.E. dude vouching for you...no. Sorry.
Meet with Mike, Branden or Angie and convince us that you're legitimate,
and then we'll give you full access to our website and the passwords to
unlock the zip files.
